The founder of TheSunRoom, Heidy, began her artistic journey at the age of 19. A self-taught artist, she simply woke up one day and decided to paint. After completing her first piece, she instantly knew it was something she would pursue for the rest of her life.

Heidy initially worked with acrylic but eventually discovered her love for watercolor. As a nanny who often travels with the family, carrying around canvases and heavy paint supplies wasn’t practical. That’s when she purchased a small box of watercolors—and soon realized how deeply she connected with the medium.

Today, Heidy is known for her whimsical watercolor style but every now and then dives back to her first love-Acrylic. Her deep appreciation for the vibrant beauty of nature is evident in much of her artwork. As an artist, her ultimate goal is to become a children's book illustrator as well as opening her very own Art Studio where she strives to inspire the imaginations of God’s Children in our world.

Being an artist has been an ongoing journey for Heidy—full of discovery, growth, and perseverance. Finding her artistic style and staying motivated while balancing a full-time job has often been overwhelming but with the strength of her heavenly father she is capable of accomplishing all her goals. Through this website, her goal is to remind all artists that they are not alone. God is always with us guiding us every step of the way.
